Why Choose Group Therapy?
Group therapy provides benefits that individual therapy alone may not offer, including:
Shared understanding and reduced isolation
Support from others facing similar challenges
Accountability and encouragement
Therapist-guided structure and evidence-based support
Groups are intentionally designed so participants can build momentum together over time. Sometimes, groups are done in conjunction with individual therapy to provide additional support in the week or just have a place to feel supported to know you are not alone.
My groups are on a rotational basis usually 4 to 6 weeks depending on the subject and lasts for about an hour (60-75 mins). We will dive into a particular topic for the series and regular attendance is expected in order to have the best experience and benefit long lasting change possible.

How Group Therapy Is Structured
All group therapy offerings are provided in rotational formats, meaning each group meets regularly for a defined period of time, usually 4 to 6 weeks depending on the subject and lasts for about an hour (60-75 mins). Your regular attendance not only helps me provide the care that the group members need but also the benefits gained for and from the members as each person becomes more comfortable and settles into the group experience. When signing up, it’s important to make the commitment and discuss in advance of any anticipated absences.
Regular attendance is strongly encouraged because:
Trust and emotional safety develop over time
Topics and tools build intentionally from session to session
Group connection deepens with consistency
Participants experience stronger, more sustainable progress
This structure helps participants stay focused, supported, and aligned with their goals.
Is Group Therapy Right for You?
Group therapy may be a good fit if you:
Want support from others with shared experiences
Value structure and guided discussion
Are open to learning and growing alongside others
Can commit to regular attendance during a group rotation
If you’re unsure which group may be the best fit, you’re welcome to reach out to discuss options. I offer a free 15-minute phone consultation to learn more how a therapy support group may help you in your situation or address any questions. Call/Text today at (619) 840-7974
